Consists of a supple sealing sheet wound around the pipe joint and a collard fixed by straps around the pipe and a small pipe leading off to allow air to escape. After assembly, pressure is applied to distend the sheet. The bleed off pipe is allowed to harden off or is removed. The collar is a tube with one part of greater diameter than the pipe flange and a second part of smaller diameter but greater than the bars pipe outside diameter. The two parts are connected in conical form. The straps can be screw tightened by Jubilee type clips. |
