A liq. filter consists of tubular woven filter cloth attached to pipe connection to a pump or source of compressed air or suction for feeding the material into the filter. The other end of the filter is closed by a quick-release mechanism consisting of tubular bush having longitudinal slot and retaining rod which fits into the bush. The filter does not have large and heavy clamping frame associated with flat filter elements, not does it require transition pipe between the pump outlet and clamping frame. Thus the filter is light and cheap, easily dismantled for cleaning, and prod. loss is low due to its small wetted area. Its effective filtration area is readily varied.
