<p>A pump dispenser (1), useful especially for lotions, soaps and creams, has a structure (11) which allows locking into a sealed position. The pump dispenser (1) may therefore be transported and stored without fear of accidental actuation or leakage. The dispenser has a valve stem (9) which acts as an inlet valve (15), as well as a mechanism (15, 18) for sealing the inlet (16) and outlet (35), respectively, to the pump chamber (8) when locked. The pump dispenser (1) also has structure (34) to seal the vent passage (33) when in a locked position.</p> |
