An indicator material made by impregnating a nonwoven fabric provided with a partially or wholly colored resin layer on one side thereof with a volatile oily substance used as the active ingredient of deodorant, flavoring material, antimildew agent, insecticide, mothproofing agent, and so on. The material indicates the extent of volatilization of the oily substance with the lapse of time by referring to the migration of the resin layer from the visible state to the state hidden by the nonwoven fabric as a result of the volatilization of the oily substance with the lapse of time when the resin layer is seen through the nonwoven fabric. The problem of the indicator material made of conventional nonwoven fabric such that it does not so clearly indicate the extent of evaporation of the oily substance with the lapse of time can be solved by the invention material by using a nonwoven fabric containing fine fibers with a fineness of 2 deniers or less, or by using a nonwoven fabric with partially varied densities.
|
