The sweet jar is partially transparent, and is made of flexible or semi-rigid sheet material. It has a flat base and slow wall to which is attached a moulded sheet constituting the sides and front. The moulded sheet can have an inwardly projecting lip around the botton on which the bottom is seated. The moulded sheet can also include a decorative design.
