PURPOSE:To establish a voice reproducer fitted with picture display with a simple constitution, by changing the state of a heat sensing recording body having reversible photo absorption characteristic via a thermal head, according to a digital dot video signal which is reproduced simultaneously together with the audio reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The digital dot video signal is reproduced from the magnetic tape 1 and applied to the multistylus thermal head 15 via the video signal read-in circuit 12, differentiation circuit 13, and inverting shaping circuit 14, with the digital signal read-in multihead 11 at th same time with voice signal reproduction. Then, the layer 16 of the picture display plate 16 consisting of the thermochromic layer 16b having reversible photo absorption characteristic and the polyester film layer 16a, is changed from opaque into transparent state according to the video dot signal, to display the picture corresponding to the voice. This picture is erased through uniformly opaque layer 16a when the head 15 is at a given temperature higher than that at the formation of picture and the display plate 16 returns to the initial state, allowing to establish the voice reproducer fitted with picture display with a simple constitution not requiring TV signal processing and the like. |
