NEW MATERIAL:The peptide of formulaI(R is H, H-Thr-Asn-Leu-Gln-, H-Ser- Leu-Ser-Thr-Asn-Leu-Gln-, or H-Tyr-Ser-Leu-Ser-Thr-Asn-Leu-Gln-) and its derivative. EXAMPLE:The compound of formula II. USE:Hapten for the preparation of the antigen of human alpha-type interferon. PROCESS:The amino acid of formula III (A is amino-proptecting group; B is OH, etc.; D is protecting group of epsilon-amino of lysine) is condensed with the amino acid of formula IV (E is protecting group of gamma-carboxylic of glutamic acid; F is carboxyl-protecting group), and the protecting groups are eliminated. The product is condensed with the amino acid of formula A-Ser-B, and the protecting groups are eliminated. In the similar manner, the processes comprising the condensation of the amino acid of formula V (C is protecting group of guanidino of arginine), the amino acid of formula A-Ser-Leu-B, and the amino acid of formula IV, and the elimination of the protecting groups, are repeated to obtain the peptide of formulaIwherein R is H.
