The hot-sandiwch maker has a two-part (1,2) frame hinged together with the one folding down over the second. Each part (1,2) encloses at least one hot-plate (4,5). Each hot-plate (4,5) has an inner concave mould. The upper plate (4) has a peripheral cutting edge (8) acting in conjunction with the raised edge (9) of the lower plate (5). Electric resistors (10) are preferably integrated inside the hot-plates (4,5) which are preferably of aluminium or aluminium alloy.
