An electronic patterning device for a loom, using counters which control the weaving sequence by counting the number of picks of each type of weft during insertion, and are reset when the weft is changed, has a reversing circuit which operates during unweaving operations to control the unweaving of complex patterns. The reversing circuit is connected through a feed-back loop to the pattern-control circuit, and to a transducer on the loom crankshaft. It comprises an inverting switch, logic circuits, a flip-flop and a rectangular-wave generator which controls the count-down of the counters during unweaving. This arrangement eliminates complications arising from weft-changes during reverse-counting, and provides problem-free unweaving of complex designs. /2.
|
