PURPOSE:To extract an aimed matter from electrophoresis gel pieces in a short time by pouring the extracting solution into an extracting tube consisting of upper and lower parts and by using a coloring matter for marker for determing an end point of the extraction. CONSTITUTION:The electrical extraction tube consists of the upper tube 1 and the lower tube 2, the inner diameter and the length are determined from sizes and numbers, etc. of the gel pieces, and the tube is made of transparent material to observe a line of the coloring matter as the marker during the extraction. A supporting material 3 such as thread and net is provided at a connection part of the tubes 1 and 2 to prevent the falling of the gel pieces, but the material 3 is unnecessary in case of filling the tube 2 with resin, glass beads, etc. A dialysis membrane 4 is provided at the bottom of the tube 2. Buffer solutions having a prescribed pH are respectively used for the upper and lower extracting liquids and the solution containing the coloring matter is used for the upper extracting solution. The extraction is performed so that the aimed matter is made run downward similary to the electrophoresis. |
