PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution, by applying sawtooth wave voltages having different polarity to a vertical deflecting electrode and supplying correcting signal waveforms with different polarity via a transformer so as to suppress the potetial fluctuation due to a beam current and to generate a horizontal parabola waveform at a low voltage level. CONSTITUTION:To a couple of vertical deflecting electrodes 12, 13 of a flat cathode-ray tube, a reference potential Vr and the sawtooth waves having different polarity from vertical sawtooth wave generating circuits 19, 20 depending on a potential Vr+Vp are applied. Further, a correcting signal waveform from a horizontal parabola waveform generating circuit 18 is applied to the transformer 23, where the horizontal parabola waveforms are converted into waveforms of different polarity and they are applied to the electrodes 12, 13. Further, the vertical sawtooth wave is applied to the electrodes 12, 13 with a low impedance to suppress the potential fluctuation due to the beam current flowing, and the waveform is boosted at the transformer 23 so as to generate the waveform at a low voltage level, allowing to simplify the circuit constitution. |
