PURPOSE:To preferably maintain gas composition, gas pressure and gas flow in a duct in a laser ray generator which has a high temperature high pressure gas generation source, a supersonic expansion nozzle, a laser resonator duct, a diffuser for recoverying pressure, etc. by arranging a reflecting mirror to emit the laser ray generated in the duct through the neck part of the diffuser from the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic expansion nozzle 14 is provided to the downstream side of a high temperature high pressure gas source 11 which has an injector 12 for a fuel and an oxidizing agent and a combustion chamber 13, and the gas from this nozzle is directed toward a laser resonator duct 1. The laser ray 2 generated in the duct 1 is reciprocated between the total-reflection concave mirror 5 and a total-reflection convex mirror 6 opposed to the mirror 5 to strengthen the output, and incident to an output pickup total-reflection mirror 20 which is provided to the outer periphery of the mirror 6. Further, it is reflected by a total-reflection mirror 21 again and emitted as a laser output ray 22 to the outside through the neck part 18 of a supersonic contraction nozzle of a diffuser 16. |
