PURPOSE:To elevate the operability of a bead setters and the bead setting performance and reliability by providing bead detectors in bead setters and a mechanism for setting the diametrical expansion/reduction position for the bead setters. CONSTITUTION:Bead setters 8' is provided with bead detectors 30 for detecting beads b1, b2, b3 and a bead setter setting mechanism for moving a plurality of bead setters 8 diametrically in synchronization to be set at the expansion/reduction setting position. The diametrical expansion/reduction position in the bead setters 8' is detected with a nut detector 32 checking the advance or retraction of a nut 12 and the bead setters 8' are set at the diametrical expansion/reduction setting position by comparing the detection value with the predetermined diametrical expansion/reduction value therefor.
