PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization of a floppy disk driver with the reduction of the cost by unifying a floppy disk having a disk type semiconductor motor which drives a floppy diskette and a DC linear motor which drives a detecting head. CONSTITUTION:A floppy diskette 1 is revolved by a disk type semiconductor motor, and detecting heads 22a and 22b are driven linearly by a DC linear motor 13 having a linear encoder 28. Thus the record is reproduced at the entire circumference of the diskette 1, and at the same time the positions of heads 22a and 22b are detected by the encoder 28. A current of a prescribed direction is conducted to each armature coil 9 by a semiconductor rectifier and after the disk type semiconductor motor detects both N and S poles of a field magnet 12 by a position detecting element 10. Thus the magnet 12 (diskette 1) is revolved in a prescribed direction. The encoder 28 is pressed to a spindle 2 by a pressing means 34, and therefore the position of the detecting heads can be detected accurately. |
