PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator facilitating the assembling of a partition member for forming multiple gas generating chambers. SOLUTION: An initiator 24 for a booster tube 16 or 18 ignites ignition agent 28 inside the booster tube 16 or 18, gas generating agent 30 in the upper side or the lower side of a partition plate 20 reacts with reaction gas of the gas ignition agent 30, and gas jets out from a gas jet outlet 12c or 14c via a filter 31 or 32. The booster tubes 16 and 18 have large diameter parts 16L and 18L in their upper parts and small diameter parts 16S and 18S in their lower parts, respectively. The large diameter parts 16L and 18L are formed by a diameter enlarging process. A hole 20a in the partition plate 20 is inserted from the sides of the small diameter parts 16S and 18S to the booster tubes 16 and 18. |
