PURPOSE:To perform the automatic measurement of a blade row, by irradiating the blade lattice with laser beam from the back surface thereof and detecting the distance between a beam source and each blade from reflected beam and operating the slot width and blade angle of the blade row from the detection result. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a laser reference beam source part 11-1 is reflected from the back surface of each blade of a turbine to be incident to a displacement detection part 11-2. When blades 1, 2 move to the direction shown by an arrow, the interval (l) between the beam source part 11-1 and the blade 1 is continuously detected by the detection part 11-2. The actually measured value of the interval (l) is inputted to a personal computer to calculate a blade angle beta and a throat width T by an operation. Further, the locus of the interval (l) is printed out from the electromagnetic oscillograph of the personal computer. Whereupon, the automatic measurement and recording of the slot width and blade angle of a blade row can be performed by a non- contact measuring method and operational processing using the personal computer.
