PURPOSE:To improve design effect, workability and economy by constituting the covering material wherein a part is so formed as to fill pertinently the mesh part of a screen comprising cloth and the like having meshes allowing the passage of sprayed particles and obstruct the passage of the particles. CONSTITUTION:A processed surface 1 is shielded with a covering material 2 and then subjected to a spraying process. In this case, the covering material 2 is formed by the application of a known photochemical printing method to a part 2b pertinently filling the mesh part 2a of a screen 'S' comprising cloth of yarn elements such as silk and nylon allowing the passage of sprayed particles, thereby obstructing the flow of the particles through the mesh part 2a. In this case, the suitable selection of the sizes of the mesh part 2a enables obtaining a desired degree of matting. When said material 2 is so applied as to cover the processed surface 1 and particles are sprayed to a shielded part 3, the processed surface 1 is matted to a desired state due to the particles flowing through the mesh part 2a.
