<p>PURPOSE:To ensure excellent adhesion and enable arbitrary adjustment of the thickness of a lining layer, by rolling an ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene film or sheet around a member to be lined, rolling a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the polyethylene around the layer of the polyethylene, and welding the lining material and the member to be lined to each other in a body. CONSTITUTION:A sheet having at least an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene layer is rolled around 8 solid rod form or hollow member to be lined, which is preliminarily provided with slits or ruggedness at the outer periphery thereof, in such a manner that end parts of the sheet overlap with each other. Next, a heat-resistant material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene is rolled around the outer periphery of the polyethylene layer, and both ends of the material are fixed. The entire body is heated to a temperature of not lower than the melting point of the polyethylene, preferably a temperature of about 140-280 deg.C, whereby the sheet and the member to be lined are welded to each other in a body. The heating temperature may be any temperature which is not lower than the melting point and does not cause thermal decomposition, but a temperature of not higher than 250 deg.C is particularly desirable in consideration of thermal deterioration at the time of heating.</p> |
