PURPOSE:To generate the maximum torque with the minimum primary current without lowering the power factor of a power source by equalizing the exciting current of a motor to the maximum torque current. CONSTITUTION:An AC motor 2 is connected to the output side of a VVVF type inverter 1 and the rotational speed of this motor 2 is variably controlled by controlling the output voltage and frequency of the inverter 1. The exciting current of the motor 2 is made larger than those of usual motors to be equal to the maximum torque current. For this reason, the maximum torque can be generated by minimizing the primary current. Also, through the power factor of the motor 2 itself is low, as the whole of the driving device, it never affect the power source 3 side, therefore it never lower the power factor of the power source 3. |
