PURPOSE:To improve sharpness, graininess, or color reproducibility of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material by incorporating a compd. which liberates a photographically useful group by consuming at least three in total oxidized bodies of developing agents through a multistage reaction into a silver halide color photographic sensitive material compsn. CONSTITUTION:A compd. liberating a photographically useful group by consuming at least three in total oxidized bodies of developing agents through a multistage reaction contg. reaction stages with oxidized bodies of developing agents, is incorporated into a silver halide color photographic sensitive material compsn. Said compd. has a group eliminated by the reaction with the oxidized body of developing agent, and said eliminable group is transformed to a form capable of reacting with the oxidized bodies of the developing agent after it is eliminated, forming further a reactive product capable of reacting with the oxidized bodies of the developing agent by causing cleavage of the eliminated group by the reaction with the oxidized bodies. At least three such multistage consecutive reactions are caused, so a photographically useful group is generated by a cleavage in a final reaction after consuming at least three oxidized bodies of the developing agent. By this constitution, a color photographic sensitive material having superior sharpness, superior graininess or color reproducibility, and high sensitivity is obtd. |
