PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate focus detection by storing correcting quantities and performing focus detection on an object outside the optical axis by projecting auxiliary light on the object. CONSTITUTION:A correcting quantity storing means which stores the correcting quantity of de-focusing quantity to the light whose wavelength is within a prescribed area on a photographing picture for correcting the de-focusing quantity is provided. In other words, information peculiar to various lenses indicating which one of CCD line sensors Po, Po1, and Po2 is usable or unusable due to vignetting is stored in built-in ROMs of each lens as AF enable/disable signals. Since the correcting quantity of the de-focusing quantity related to the light of a prescribed wavelength of an interchangeable lens corresponding to a prescribed area outside the optical axis on a photographing picture is stored in such way, highly accurate focus detection can be performed on an object outside the optical axis of the lens when auxiliary light is projected on the object. |
