The controller controlling the luminous intensity of flourescent lamp according to the intensity of indoor illumination comprises a comparator (1) comparing the output signal of an indoor illumination meter with reference voltage altered by an interlocked motor, a motor driver (2) switched by the output signal of the comparator for generating the motor driving signal, a motor unit (3), a power transformer (4) whose slide being movable in forward and backward directions, a starting voltage control circuit (5) switching off the sensor when the lamp is switched on and forcing the power transformer to transmit the maximum voltage by providing maximum input signal to the comparator.
