PURPOSE:To manufacture a heat exchanger with the joining part of sufficient strength by bending a sheet metal almost center thereof, projecting center rib part to the outer part and welding side wall parts of a tank to both side faces of the center rib part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The sheet metal 2 with plural heat-transfer tubes 3 inserted and joined, and two tanks 4, 5 connected with pipes 6, 7 for inlet and outlet respectively are joined to constitute head part of the heat exchanger. Then, the center rib part 13 protruded outward by bending the sheet metal 2 at almost the center part thereof is formed and both sides of the center rib part 13 are joined by welding to the side wall parts of two tanks 4, 5 respectively as the welding surfaces 14, 15. In such a way, by adopting tank separation structure of a low manufacturing cost, the heat exchanger having the header part sufficiently securing the joined strength of the tanks 4, 5 with the sheet metal 2 is obtd. |
