The structural element consists of a reinforced ribber concrete slab which is cast onto a heat insulating plate acting as permanent shuttering. The ribs to run in parallel along the slab, keying positively into rib shaped indentations on the back of the plate. Between its rib indentations the front side of the plate (2) should have chambers (7) which are closed off by a transparent plate (8), and house absorbing surfaces (9) to absorb radiant heat. USE/ADVANTAGE - Construction, e.g. high-rise buildings. Heat insulating plate for a front surface and can act as solar collector behind facade glazing.
