Toggle type clamping appts. with construction where fixed platen, to which one of half of mould is fitted, supports and guides mobile platen with other half of mould fitted to tie bars one end of which is fixed and other end of which is supported by toggle support, and half mould of mobile platen is pushed to half mould of fixed platen by a toggle mechanism fitted between toggle support and mobile platen. Clamping force adjustment nut for receiving reaction of clamping force by toggle mechanism mates with the end of each tie bar on toggle support side, and adjustment cylinder connected to hydraulic circuit is formed at this mating portion.
