PURPOSE:To provide the recording material having the same advantages as the advantages of paper in that the material is thin and flexible, allows bookbinding, and is easily retrievable by turning pages and capable of writing and erasing information by a simple method. CONSTITUTION:This recording material has an information recording layer 1 contg. a material which is reversibly changed in optical characteristics by combining and acting physical means, such as heat, electromagnetic waves, sound waves, electric fields, electric discharge, magnetic field and pressure, alone or in plurality, a paper base material 2 holding this information recording layer 1 and a cover film 3 covering the surface of the information recording layer 1. |
