摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively expressing and displaying the physiological mandibular position with the fluctuation in the function of the middle ear cavity as an index and a measuring instrument for quantitatively judging and setting three-dimensional mandibular positions (occlusal positions). SOLUTION: This instrument includes a probe which is mounted at the testee' s auditory meatus and detects the dynamic compliance of the ear cavity and a distance measuring means which measures the moving distance of the lower jaw with respect to the testee's upper jaw. The compliance in the ear cavity detected by this probe and the distances from the occlusal positions of the upper and lower jaws detected by this distance measuring means are respectively set at two-dimensional aces. The changes in the compliance accompanying the changes in the distances from the occlusal positions are built as a two-dimensional graphs with the compliance and the distances as parameters and are displayed in real time on a display. The rest position point CO of the malocclusion person may be specified from these graphs.</p>
