MOTOR MOUNT FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER

A motor mount for an electric motor (32) includes a pair of spaced apart substantially vertically extending support legs (442). The upper ends (452) of the legs (442) include a support recess (454) therein adapted to receive mating structure on axially spaced ends of the motor (32). The upper end (452) of each of the legs further includes two openings (458) therein, one on each of the opposite sides of the support recess (454). Each of the openings (458) has a transverse extending retaining ledge formed therein. A pair of motor mounting clips (462) are provided, each of which is adapted to be installed on one of the pair of support legs. Each of the clips (462) includes a support recess therein adapted to receive the mating structure on the axially spaced ends of the motor to be mounted. Each mounting clip (462) further includes two flexible latches (470), one on each side of the support recess (454). Each of the latches (470) is adapted to be received in one of the openings (458) when the latch is flexed.
