摘要 The preparation of the mass is carried out in several steps: (a) incorporation of a copper compound (not a sulphide) into a support or a dispersing inorganic solid; (b) calcination of the resulting product to convert the copper compounds into CuO and/or Cu2O; (c) contacting of the resulting product from (b), or from (a) if step (b) is omitted, with elemental sulphur in an organic solvent; (d) thermal treatment of the product from (c) in a non-oxidising atmosphere, under gas flow at a temperature and during a sufficient time to allow the formation of metallic sulphides and especially CuxSy where x and y are integers 1-10. The feed is chosen from natural gas condensates, petroleum distillation fractions, naphtha fractions and gas-oils. The trapping mass was evaluated in a solution containing 10 g of catalyst and 0.4 g of arsenic in 50 ml of heptane under nitrogen. The test was allowed to run for 24 hours. The beads were then washed with heptane and dried under nitrogen for 1 hour at 100 deg C. The concentration of the parent solution was 545 mg/l. The concentration of As in the solution was less than 5 ppm.
