PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the rate of change of the relatrue permittivity of a dielectric ceramic layer smaller even when the thickness of the ceramic layer is reduced, by specifying the compositional range of the basic component composed of a specific material and added components by using inequalities and a triangular diagram. SOLUTION: The basic component of a dielectric ceramic layer is expressed by an expression I, where M, L, R, and D respectively represent Mg and/or Zn, Ca and/or Sr, one or two or more kinds of metallic elements selected form among Sc, Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu, and one or two or more kinds of metal oxides of metallic elements selected from among Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni andα,β, k, x, y, and z respectively represent the materials expressed by the numerical values meeting expressions II. In addition, the added components are composed of Li2 O, SiO2 , MO (one or more kinds of metal oxides selected from among BaO, SrO, CaO, MgO, and ZnO) and/or B2 O3 , SiO2 , and MO. The compositional ranges of the added components are set to the extent surrounded by five straight lines drawn by successively connecting first to fifth points A-E to each other in a triangular diagram showing the compositional ratio among the Li2 O, SiO2 , and MO in mol.%.
