The invention refers to a relaxation oscillator, synchronised with the frequency of the industrial network, for activating thyristors from a range of equipment such as current-driven rectifiers and AC static switches. The oscillator is made up of a condenser (3) which is charged, by means of a resistor (2), from a pulse source (E) up to a maximum limit that is determined by a resistive divider (5 and 6) and at which the condenser starts to discharge via a transistor (1) connected in series to the primary coil of a pulse transformer.
