A greenhouse illuminator (10) which has, in an elevation view, a parabola-form upper reflector (12) and lower reflector (13), which reflect the rays of light from a lamp (11) obliquely to the side at an angle most advantageously approximately 15 DEG down from the horizontal. The upper reflector is satin-finished and the lower reflector is a silvered mirror. The lower reflector (13) has apertures (17) which allow diffused light (15c) to pass through it to the area below the illuminator and to its surroundings. In addition, the illuminator incorporates, on both sides of the lamp (11), side reflectors (14a and 14b), which reflect the rays of light (15d) directed to the side from the lamp to the opposite side of the lamp, also obliquely downwards. <IMAGE> |
