FIELD: pipe manufacture, particularly, manufacture of long pipes by high-frequency welding and their cooling in bundles. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of strip, high-frequency heating of strip edges, pressing them in welding rolls and cooling of welding tool with liquid. In this case, edge heating and pressing of billet are carried out in liquid medium. Mill for pipe welding includes forming stands, high-frequency heater, ferromagnetic core installed on secured rod, welding rolls, weld cooler located above point of converging of biller edges, pressure pipeline located in cavity of formed biller with liquid supply to fill cavity and oriented with its nozzle towards ferromagnetic core. In addition, mill has partitions installed on secured rod before point of convergence of edges and after it. Nozzle of pressure pipeline is located between partitions. EFFECT: higher stability of quality of welded joints in continuous welding of pipes. 3 cl, 2 dwg |
