PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container to contain foods, which gives a satisfactory fine sight, can be used for heating with microwave, and is disposable, rigid, and tough. SOLUTION: This container is obtained by extruding a mixture, having a softening temperature at 250 deg.F or higher, substantially consisting of (1) a polypropylene or propylene-ethylene copolymer or a blend consisting of a polypropylene and propylene-ethylene copolymer, and (2) an endothermic foaming agent coated with polystyrene or polyalphamethylstyrene. The container can be thermally molded to a shape of a container using vacuum, can be irradiated with microwave, can be used for contacting with foods, and is disposable.
