PURPOSE: A spacer for field emission display and forming method thereof is provided to be easily manufactured, enhance precision, reduce time, increase the aspect ratio, easily control the height and easily perform vacuum exhaust. CONSTITUTION: The present invention discloses a spacer for field emission display comprising: the first spacer bars(100) having coupling grooves separated each other with constant gap; and the second spacer bars(200) coupled to the first spacer bars in cross direction by coupling grooves corresponding to the grooves of the first spacer bars. The first spacer bars and the second spacer bars are coupled in matrix format and consisted of glass. Therefore, the present invention can be easily manufactured, enhance precision, increase the aspect ratio.
