PURPOSE: A dephosphorization method from pig iron using desulfurization dust generated in the desulfurization process of pig iron is provided which promotes the efficiency of dephosphorization. CONSTITUTION: In the process of removing phosphorous in pig iron, the process comprises a)pouring 28-40 kg sintered ore into pig iron and then b)34-37 kg CaO powder containing 25-30 weight% desulfurization dust at intervals of two min through a lance based on the total weight of pig iron. For an example, 0.7 kg CaO powder, 2 kg sintered ore and 1.1 kg desulfurization dust are poured into 50 kg pig iron. Desulfurization dust comprises 23-32 wt.% CaO, 25-31 wt.% T, 25-31 wt.% Fe, 2-3 wt.% SiO2, 0.7-2 wt.% MgO, 0.8-1 wt.% Al2O3, 4-10 wt.% C and residue unavoidable. The efficiency of new process is higher than that of conventional process by 5-10%.
