TRIPOD UNIVERSAL JOINT OF LITTLE FRICTIONAL RESISTANCE

PURPOSE: A tripod universal joint of little frictional resistance is provided to minimize the friction caused by the contact by processing the contacting surface of an inner roller into a spherical surface of a large radius of curvature rate. CONSTITUTION: The tripod universal joint is composed of:an inner and an outer roller(31, 33) processed with the same radius of curvature rate, installed by inserting themselves between a trunnion(12b) of a spider assembly(11) and a guide groove(22) of the inner circumference of the spider housing(21); the trunnion(12b) of the inner roller(31) making its contacting surface formed as a spherical shape with a large radius of curvature rate so the trunnion(12b) as to contact with the inner circumference of the inner roller(31).
