PURPOSE: A method for cleaning metal plate surface is provided, which is characterized in that high pressure gas steam, generated by mixing high pressure air with kerosene followed by igniting the mixed gas, removes dust attached to metal plate surface, thus clarifying cost of packing housing as well as the overall process cost can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: The method is comprised of: a compressor(24) producing high-pressure air(20); a mixing container(26) mixing the high-pressure air with kerosene(22); a mixing ratio controller(28) controlling the ratio of the mixed high-pressure air; kerosene; a gun(32) generating high-pressure gas steam sprayed through a nozzle; and then a controller(30) controlling the operations. Mixing ration of the kerosene with high pressure air ranges from 1: 4 to 4: 1, and kerosene can be substituted by propylene, acetylene, Ar, and H2 gas.
