PURPOSE: A method for adjusting a volume of a car audio is provided to adjust a volume of a sound outputted from a car audio according to a peripheral noise degree. CONSTITUTION: In a method for adjusting a volume of a car audio, a micro computer judges whether a car audio operates(S100). If the car audio operates, an external noise level of detected from the external noise signal(S110). The micro computer detects a present output level of a sound outputted into an automobile from the car audio(S120), and compares the external noise level with the present output level(S130). If the external noise level is less than the present output level, the micro computer applies a control signal for maintaining the present output level to a volume adjusting part so as to maintain the present output level(S140). If the external noise level is equal to or more than the present output level, the micro computer applies a control signal for increasing the present output level to the volume adjusting part so as to increase the present output level(S150).
