PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent a color shift phenomenon in both of a complete driving voltage-applied state and a middle gradation state by compensating a refractive index anisotropy of liquid crystal molecules. CONSTITUTION: An alignment layer portion which an electric field is formed in parallel with a data bus line(22) is rubbed to have a first acute angle between the electric field parallel with the data bus line(22) and a rubbing axis of the alignment layer. Another alignment layer portion which another electric field is formed in parallel with a gate bus line(21) is rubbed to have the same acute angle as the first acute angle between the electric field parallel with the gate bus line(21) and a rubbing axis of the alignment layer.
