PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the system to realize a high resolution in the case of using this system as a flat bed scanner with a simple configuration and to mount an electronic camera with a small size and a lightweight that can be used singly. SOLUTION: The image capture system is provided with an adaptor 2 that is mounted with an electronic camera 1, which can singly be used as an electronic camera, and is used to operate the electronic camera 1 like a flat bed scanner. The adaptor 2 allows the electronic camera 1 to photograph image information of an object original dividedly for a plurality of number of times under the control of a control section while relatively shifting the object original placed on an original platen and the photographing visual field of the electronic camera 1 by means of a split photographing mechanism that turns a parallel flat plate member 22a inserted at a prescribed tilt angle to an incident optical axis of the electronic camera 1 around the incident optical axis. The image information photographed by the electronic camera 1 is stored in a memory and an image processing section applies synthesis processing to the information.
