PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both the read out high response performance and the read efficiency in a radiation image information recording-reading apparatus using a solid-state radiation detector. SOLUTION: A detector 10 is made by laminating a first electrode layer 11, a recording photoconductive layer 12 revealing a conductivity upon receipt of irradiation of a recording light L1, a charge transfer layer 13 acting as approximately a conductor on latent image charges and reverse-polarity transport charges, a reading photoconductive layer 14 revealing a conductivity upon receipt of irradiation of a reading light L2, and an electrode layer 15 having stripe electrodes 16. Sub-electrodes 17 composed of many elements 17a disposed respectively just above elements 16a and mutually opposed are provided near a charge storing part 19 in the photoconductive layer 12 of the detector 10. In recording, a specified control voltage is applied from a power source 73 to the sub-electrodes 17. In reading, currents flowing out of the elements 17a of the sub-electrodes 17 are detected.
