PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain bright images with lessened interference between exit light rays incorporating grains of a uniform height into an adhesive for joining double refractive plates. SOLUTION: The optical filter is constituted by forming the double refractive plates of niobium plates 4 (a, b) and laminating these plates by the adhesive 3. Antireflection films 5 are respectively formed on the lamination surface side of the niobium plates 4 (a, b). The antireflection films 5 are formed of two layers, the first layer 5a of which is formed of titanium oxide (TiO2) and the second layer 5b of which is formed of silicon dioxide (SiO2). The grains 6 are incorporated into the adhesive 3. The grains 6 are composed of glass fibers specified to 6μ±0.1μin diameter and 6μin length. The actual adhesion is executed by applying the adhesive 3 containing the grains 6 on the respective niobium plate (a, b) and superposing the plates. While a prescribed load is applied on the one main surface, the plates are rested for a prescribed period of time within a high-temperature chamber kept at a prescribed temperature. Finally, the adhesive 3 is cured by irradiation with UV rays.
