PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a feed additive capable of promoting feed digestion and nutrient absorption and enabling high-quality meat and eggs to be afforded in the mass rearing activities in ordinary poultry farming sites. SOLUTION: This feed additive is obtained, for example, by spraying mixed gravel of zeolite (a kind of porous mineral) and bentonite (a base-adsorptive mineral) with mineral ionic water and pyroligneous acid. This additive, together with a feed, is taken into the lower part of the belly of poultry to effect promoting the function of the above organ, thereby having the function to promote the digestion/absorption of nutrients; therefore, in ordinary poultry farming sites, even in the case of mass rearing of poultry in nets for poultry farming use, high-quality meat and eggs of poultry can be afforded. By the way, this feed additive may be spiked with a small amount of charcoal and/or calcium bicarbonate.
