PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a search time in digital broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: In the digital broadcast receiver for receiving digital broadcast signal where a 1st OFDM modulated wave having at least a 1st transmission frame length is transmitted for a 1st frequency band and a 2nd OFDM modulated wave having a 2nd transmission frame length shorter than the 1st transmission frame length is transmitted for a 2nd frequency band, when seek of an ensemble is instructed, first the ensemble is sought for the 2nd frequency band and when a NULL symbol of a transmission frame is detected for a reception frequency, seeking is stopped and when the NULL symbol is not detected for the 2nd frequency band, the ensemble is sought in the 1st frequency band.
