PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer unit picking device improving the reliability and picking efficiency of a picking operation by selecting an optimum introducing means according to the remaining state and layout pattern or the like of commodities. SOLUTION: This layer unit picking device is provided with a plurality of introducing means having different structures for separately introducing commodity layers stacked into a multi-layer shape starting from an upper layer section in the unit of single or a plurality of layers and a recognition means recognizing the retention state of commodities by layer in commodity layers. One of a plurality of introducing means is selected to separately introduce the commodity layer based on the recognition result of the recognition means.
