PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gusset bag which does not cause a pin hole or breakage on a border at a bag bottom and whose manufacturing cost is not raised, and to provide its use. SOLUTION: The bag is obtained by folding both side ends of a tube comprising a thermoplastic synthetic resin film like gussets by L (cm) to form gusset portions and forming a bottom seal by thermally fusion-bonding the gusset portions at a bottom seal line in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the tube. The gusset bag is heat-sealed in spots on a part where four thermoplastic synthetic resin films are overlaid and thermally welded on the bottom seal line and on a region at a distance of 0.05L to 0.3L from a border of a part where two films are overlaid and thermally welded on an upper part of the bottom seal line above the bottom seal line on the bag and where the four films are overlaid.
