PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case interior support structure constructed so as to prevent the occurrence of play between internal walls of the case and a cushioning member and to provide an item support case suitable for accomplishing the support structure. SOLUTION: The item support case 1 is formed of the case 3 and the cushioning member 5, disposed on the internal walls of the case 3, so as to accommodate a hard disk 8 in the interior thereof. In the item support case 1, before a lid 41 is fixed to a case main body 31, the height H1 of the cushioning member 5 is greater than the height H2 of the interior space of the case 3, (H1>H2). After the lid 41 is fixed to the case main body 31, the cushioning member 5 is pressed and deformed by the lid 41. Thus, a contact area of the cushioning member 5 relative to the internal walls of case 3 and hard disk device 8 is increased.
