PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding an optical disc capable of preventing a damage of a mold at a mold clamping time of a conventional mold for molding an optical disc or occurrence of a flash at a molding time. SOLUTION: The a mold for molding the optical disc comprises a tapered part 14 provided on an inner peripheral surface of an outer peripheral ring 6 of a fixed side mold plate, an annular step 11 having a tapered part engaged with the part 14 of the ring 6 on an outer periphery of a movable mirror block 4. The tapered part of the step 11 is formed of an upper taper 16 and a lower taper 17. A clearance 15 is formed between the taper 16 and the ring 6. The taper 17 is closely engaged with the taper 14 of the ring 6.
