PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that properly controls an automatic ON state of a monitor in a macro mode setting. SOLUTION: When a macro configuration 21B selects a macro photographing mode for the photographing mode, first a system controller 100 acquires an output voltage of a power supply 22 detected by a power supply voltage detection circuit 24. The system controller 100 checks whether or not the acquired output voltage is a prescribed value or over, the system controller 100 activates an LCD monitor 15 to prevent production of a parallax at macro photographing when the output voltage is the predetermined value or more thereby starting indication of a through-image to view the object. On the other hand, when the output voltage is lower than the predetermined value, the system controller 100 suppresses the ON state of the LCD monitor 15 to ensure furthermore macro photographing after shift to a low battery state. |
